My name is Timothy Mansell, and I am a senior right fielder at the University of St. Thomas, set to graduate in Spring 2025 with a degree in Business Administration. I have been lucky enough to play six years of college baseball thanks to COVID giving me 2 extra years of eligibility. All six of my years of college baseball have been spent at the University of St. Thomas where I have learned under numerous coaches with lengthy knowledge of the game, including Hall of Famer Lance Berkman.
Baseball has been a fundamental part of my life, and my time on the field has taught me important lessons about dedication, discipline, and resilience. I am eager to use my experiences as a player to assist young athletes in honing their skills and developing a deeper passion for this game. As a coach, my aim is not only to enhance their abilities on the field but also to cultivate confidence, collaboration, and a profound work ethic that will benefit them both in sports and in life. Whether it’s fine-tuning mechanics, boosting situational awareness, or developing a high level understanding of the game, I am committed to guiding the next generation of players in realizing their full potential.
My name is Jarod Smith, and I am a senior third baseman at the University of St. Thomas, set to graduate in Spring 2025 with a degree in Business Management. I began my collegiate baseball journey at Our Lady of the Lake University, where I was part of the 2021 team that captured the Red River Athletic Conference Championship. After transferring to UST, I earned All-Conference honors during the 2024 season, hitting .313 in conference.
Baseball has been a cornerstone of my life, and my experiences on the field have taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. I’m passionate about using what I’ve learned as a player to help these players develop their skills and love for the game. My goal as a coach is to not only make kids better baseball players but also instill confidence, teamwork, and a strong work ethic that will serve them on and off the field.
Whether it’s refining mechanics, improving situational awareness, or building a strong mental approach, I’m dedicated to helping the next generation of players reach their full potential.
